Opportunity:
As Head of GP and Asset Management Coverage based in New York, you will originate new mandates and cultivate strategic relationships with the world’s largest private markets asset managers across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and multi-asset. This senior-level position demands an entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive sales approach, and a mandate-focussed mindset. You will be a natural deal-closer and someone who thrives in competitive environments and is energised by the thrill of driving new business.
Key responsibilities:
· Originate new mandates from the leading US-based private market asset management firms with over USD 50bn AuM
· Build, nurture, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, C-suite executives and relevant stakeholders at target firms
· Drive strategic business development initiatives, leveraging deep industry insights to identify and secure new opportunities
· Collaborate closely with colleagues in S64’s distribution, solutions and technology business verticals
· Represent S64 in client meetings, conferences and industry events, cementing the firm’s position as the default international private markets solutions partner
About you
Minimum 10 years’ private markets experience in one of the following areas: · Investment Banking (Sponsor Coverage or Financing Solutions Origination) · Placement Agent · Private Wealth Platform (GP Coverage role) · Foundational understanding and exposure to the key themes of private markets democratisation · Demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record of originating mandates and closing deals · Extensive network of relationships with senior decision-makers (C-suite, Managing Directors, Heads of Business Development) at private market asset management firms · Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills · Ability to operate independently with strong initiative and accountability
